Unique and delightful handmade ceramic stoneware soap dishes only available online or at local markets and Art Festivals in Scotland and Northumbria. Made in Scotland by local Ceramist Alison, who has a studio in West Linton, Scottish Borders. She is strongly influenced by wild environments: rock pools, water, rock strata, and plant structures. Her work explores contrasts of light and dark, rough and smooth, using the translucent qualities of porcelain against rougher, sometimes coloured, grogged clays.
Artisan soap dish approximately 9/10cm by 12/13cm. Handmade in small batches, each batch will vary in glaze and thickness so each dish is unique and will not be made exactly again. Each dish has a slight curved shape making it ideal to hold a bar of soap. All dishes have a central hole to let out moisture and sits on three small feet.
